Product Description
This is a collection of short narratives, poems, and other written pieces that tell the story of my intense battle with drug and alcohol addiction and how I made it back to sanity and sobriety. Much of this work came from things I wrote about along the way, as I experienced them. The rest I filled in for the purpose of this publication. Everything is true and accurate to best of my recollection. It is intended to inform both the addict and non addict alike, but most importantly to inspire the active addict to seek and hold onto a life of sobriety. Some of the pieces in this collection have already served in this capacity which is one reason I decided to publish this collection. I hope this book will find its way into some rehab centers, where I think it will do the most good. It would also be helpful for families of addicts to get an inside look at what an addict goes through and that there is always hope for recovery. For the general public, this book will also serve to educate and inform about the horrors of addiction and the hope of recovery, and should provide some interesting reading as well. Addiction is such a huge part of our society and this is one man’s true story told through literature.
